The Potential Future Of Windshields

One of the most exciting parts about windshields is the fact that the technology behind them is constantly evolving. Not only does modern engineering make it so that windshields are stronger and safer than ever, but there is the possibility in the future for technological integration.

This technological integration will essentially add live feeds to the windshield itself, making it a part of the driving experience. When you think about it, it seems like a progressive idea that is meant to happen.

1- Windshields in the future may ingrate some kind of heads-up display technology.

2- This would allow there to be read outs displayed right in front of the person, saving them the trouble of having to look down at their instruments all of the time.

3- These displays would show things like fuel levels, RPMs, and speed. There is also the possibility for navigation systems to be implemented as well.

When you think about it, having information displayed in front of the driver is a good way to helpfully display information and keep the person from becoming distracted by looking down at their instruments, lowering the number of distraction related accidents.

While the technology for windshields of the future may not be available yet, it is a fun thing to think about. There have been prototypes of this technology that allow the windshield to enhance the road for drivers with limited vision, as well as displaying important information.

The ability to have a display in the windshield may not be possible right now for consumers, but it is an exciting possibility to consider.
